International day of people with disability on Dec. 3 is an International Observance promoted by the united nations since 1992. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding, and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
Why We Celebrate?
The purpose of this day celebration is to improvise the understandings of the people towards the people with disability worldwide the issues as well as get together to support them to improve their self-esteem, well being in the society that’s why it is celebrated by the title of “International day of disabled persons”
The Theme of 2018 is “Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusion and equality” This theme focuses on the empowering persons with disabilities for the inclusive, equitable and sustainable development envisaged in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
